Dimraeth includes NPC relationships and potential romance. In co-op, each player has a separate relationship with an NPC, and those relationships belong to the world being played. Players can develop relationships with the same NPC without one player's progress automatically reserving that NPC for everyone else.

That answers the basic co-op question, but it does not establish a complete romance roster, marriage system or guaranteed route for every character. A friendly conversation, a flirt option and a completed romance are different stages.

Dimraeth romance and relationship stages

Relationship progress appears alongside NPC interactions and dialogue. The recorded material includes an explicit Romantic interest state, while another NPC still displays Stranger. Those examples show that relationships can sit at different stages; they do not imply every NPC shares the same progression or options.

Treat the displayed state as information about the specific person you are speaking with. An affectionate answer chosen elsewhere does not establish that a different NPC has advanced. Likewise, a heart-marked dialogue option is a choice to consider, not proof that a complete romance has already begun.

The useful habit is to check the NPC identity, the available dialogue and the resulting relationship state together. That avoids confusing a relationship change with a general quest reward or treating the same reply as a universal best answer.

Separate progress for co-op players

Each player has their own NPC relationship meter. Your friend's progress does not automatically advance yours, and the relationship system is not described as a single exclusive ownership slot shared by the party.

For example, two players visiting the same NPC can be working on their own relationship progress in that world. Do not infer that the second player has been permanently locked out merely because the first player reached a new stage.

This does not prove that every later quest choice or ending is interchangeable. The supported rule concerns individual relationship tracking and non-exclusive progress between players, not a complete list of romance outcomes.

Relationships stay with the world

World identity matters when checking progress. Relationships are associated with the world, so meeting an NPC in another world should not be treated as a reliable continuation of the same relationship state.

Character progression and world progression are separate systems. Your hero can travel with personal progression, while story progress, recruited allies and buildings belong to each world. Relationship tracking belongs on the world side of that distinction.

For a co-op group, agree which world you are using for an ongoing relationship or quest. If the expected conversation is absent, check the world and the character speaking before assuming progress was erased.

Persona and dialogue choices

Persona relates to the character's dialogue tendencies. It can affect the style of responses available, but choosing a Persona is not the same as selecting a guaranteed romance route.

Befr dialogue in Dimraeth with conversation responses and Persona icons

Befr's dialogue interface shows response choices and their icons. This illustrates the dialogue system; it does not identify Befr as a confirmed romance option.

Read a response in context rather than selecting an icon solely because it appears favourable. A playful answer, a personal question and a quest-related response can serve different purposes in the conversation.

The Dimraeth character creation guide explains where Persona fits among race, class and appearance. Those creation systems should not be turned into a fabricated romance-preference table.

Flirting, quests and incomplete routes

Alaric-related dialogue includes flirt-like language in the recorded material. That is a lead for recognising relevant conversations, not a verified step-by-step route with a confirmed ending. The identity of the speaker, the choice selected and its consequence all need to match before a route can be stated reliably.

No universal gift schedule, affection threshold or daily routine is established here. Do not spend resources following an invented sequence merely because another game uses similar relationship mechanics.

Likewise, early discussion of gender restrictions was tentative. This page does not turn that uncertainty into a complete statement about every NPC's preferences. Check the actual options presented to your character rather than assuming that an unfinished preference list is authoritative.

For a new playthrough, the supported approach is to develop the relevant conversations and personal quests, watch the relationship state and keep the world consistent. The Dimraeth classes guide covers combat selection separately; class choice should not be mistaken for a proven romance prerequisite.
